Listen to our speak out/press conference today
We had a good turnout for the press conference, including a local videographer who will be posting the speeches, and some of our new "regulars" who come by the encampment almost every day now, to talk to people, talk to us, and generally give support.
Today it rained...and rained! But a friend of ours gave us lots of fleece clothing to wear and a thermos full of tea, and another supporter brought us big umbrellas. We had a few new people join us all day, and it was interesting to hear how they were answering people's questions, with their own perspectives and experiences.
Even with the rain, there were lots of high school students who came in big groups to visit the white house, especially from Ohio and Indiana. There were some big mass debates, on issues from the Iraq war to hurricane Katrina.
We were also interviewed by a film crew from Turkey. Yesterday, we were interviewed by an Iranian Film crew. And we've had video and photos taken of us from all around the world.
